Shapewear for Men
It’s been a really busy day in the showroom. Ript Fusion arrived in, the samples look great. Ript is the latest shapewear for men in the form of a cool T-shirt which comes in black and white and is offered in round and V neck. It follows the Yummie Tummie shapewear tops for women which are currently selling like hot cakes around the world. It will be interesting to see if Irish men love their love handles or not???
All the Invitations have now been sent and the showroom is turning from an untidy office into a showcase for all the ranges due in shortly. The trend for short dresses and shorts worn with opaques is great for all of us who sell hosiery and Falke is right up there. The fact that opaques are being worn in the height of the summer bodes well for the coming autumn season.
It’s interesting to note that all the top designers in the UK have signaled that their prices are dropping by 25-30% for the coming season led by designer Marc Jacobs. Penneys reported a rise in sales of 20% so all of us who sell quality ranges will have to work harder to persuade our customers that cheap clothes are a foolish buy. A hard task given the uncertainty in the market.
