Wish List
Following a very busy day in the showroom with five customers one after the other (and sometimes overlapping) I am just about ready to collapse from exhaustion though I never complain of being too busy as this business is so erratic and while I can be really busy for a few weeks it only counts when you add up sales at the end of the season. Seasons like the weather are unpredictable with some starting very early and ending early and others stretching over several weeks.
Beautiful Anya Hindmarch clutch, Brown Thomas Dublin
The Brown Thomas buyers Mary Mullin and Laura Daly popped in today and when we had finished looking at the fab Yummie Tummie Spring Summer 2010 range ( I know it’s hard thinking about next Summer ) I noticed Mary’s beautiful styled Anya Hindmarch bag. A beautiful cream with tan and blue clasp and chain strap which would go from day through to night. available in Brown Thomas I didn’t dare ask the price as I am committed to using the many good and perfectly useful bags this Winter that are taking up practically a whole wardrobe (though I’m still looking for a clutch bag, see my wish list below!) The fact is that women being women keep falling in love with beautiful clothes, bags and shoes and that’s not going to change regardless of recession. We just have to be darn selective and more careful in our purchases.
So what’s on my wish list so far for Autumn.
1. Leather Jacket, big collar, soft, black or grey
2. Short Cowboy boots, they will have to be a statement boot with lots of tooling with a worn out look
3. Big chunky knit cardi
4. Lots of black and grey opaque tights ( Falke have a new 100 denier with no show through)
5 A slim leg trouser
6. One new dress which will take me from day through night
7. A large clutch bag (would love Anya Hindmarch one but will root through the vintage shops for a cheaper option)
8. Anything from the Good Charma jewellery range (the Good Charma site has just gone live, ab fab!)
When I’m a little less busy in the showroom I will start to look though I will resist buying the leather jacket and boots until I go to Buenes Aires in November where I believe the leather is brilliant. Can’t wait!
