Time for a smile

Tags: , , — Nicky Harris, February 5, 2011

I’m sitting in front of a log fire and relaxing a little after a manic day at work with all the stresses which surrounded my day. I
will be in work tomorrow at 8am to work on pricing all the Jaeger samples that finally arrived at 3 O’clock today (it’s nail biting times). The first appointment is at 8am on Monday morning so by that stage my showroom has to look perfect. Flowers in a vase, liquorice all sorts in the bowl, a fridge full of bottled water, fresh coffee in the machine and all the samples looking pristine on the hangers.

So time to put a smile on my face , If you haven’t seen this video advert in full before take a look and enjoy….

Random commuter thoughts

Tags: , , — Nicky Harris, February 3, 2011

This is one of those blogs where I have no idea what is about to spill forth from my confused brain! In the midst of (organised) chaos in the showroom with ranges arriving daily and the fact that I moved home a few days ago. I can’t find any of my clothes which are all bunged onto a rail and I have less idea where my shoes and bags are. Added to that I have now become a commuter travelling into town and home again by train. The train is an interesting observation post. I spend the journeys home guessing what job each person has. I’m sure none of them could begin to guess mine! dressed as I was today in a big anorak, a cuddly Electronic Sheep scarf and hat with my computer bag slung across my shoulders.

The Muubaa leather is now in the showroom and I love it love it love it! The shearling and flying jackets are going to be a sure hit as well as the leather skirts in three lengths covering all trends. Antique distressed leather and suede all feature. I’m expecting the first customers next week so I will let you know soon where you can buy them.

Thank you Natalie

As I walked the streets of London yesterday ( I always think the pavements there are harder than home) my feet kept sending me messages. I was there to preview ‘Boutique By Jaeger’ and’ Jaeger London‘ Autumn Winter 20112 collections which are, as we speak winging their way onto my showroom rails. But I digress, back to my feet, which by the end of the day were sore even though I was wearing a pretty comfortable pair of low heeled boots. I passed by lots of shops on Regent street and as it was a flying visit (literally) I only managed to take a peek at the windows. Flat ballet pumps were everywhere. I have to say I am delighted even though I have a vast array of high heels. It’s time for comfort and so I’m about to release my inner swan (more like baby elephant I hear you mutter!) and buy some really comfortable flats. I have a gorgeous wrap silk Jaeger dress which just arrived in for Spring in navy polka dots which is calf length which will be the perfect partner. I just remembered the voucher for Brown Thomas shoe department (they have a great selection of flats) which is burning a hole in my wallet will now come in very handy indeed.
