I am a mother of two women and one teenager and have worked in the Business of Fashion as an Agent for fifteen years in Ireland. I currently represent Jaeger London, Yummie Tummie Shapewear and Falke Hosiery. My customers are the leading Independent boutiques and stores in Ireland. I love my work which is sometimes challenging but always interesting. I love Literature, hill walking and current affairs. I’m addicted to Twitter and Facebook. My commitment to various charity projects is a big part of my life apart from fashion of course. My wardrobe is too full and I still want more clothes. Don’t even get me started on shoes of which I have far too many. As for bags I’m still chasing the ‘perfect one’!!
I hope that this blog site will be useful, informative and sometimes humorous. I have long thought that working in this business must require a form of madness!! But it does have aspects that are wonderful. Coco Chanel said that “Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.” There’s often a big difference between what I like in terms of clothes myself and the wider commercial realities of the market place which has to play to a varied audience. My aim is to bring you my thoughts through the blog but I will also post interviews with interesting successful business people whose thoughts and ideas will only serve to widen our viewpoints and inform.
