The lessons of the showroom are duplicated in the boutiques and stores and as I am always thinking like a buyer and not a seller this means I am always cautious when advising my customers.  Half the Nicowa range  ://www.nicowa.de arrived today and as usual I’m now waiting for the other half to arrive.  At the same time I’m preparing Heather Thomsons PA visit from LA next week in Brown Thomas.

Smaller boutiques,( check out http://boutique-belle.com ) recently opened in Ashford can make a big splash by using the web to showcase and sell.  Press releases on newly arrived stock to the fashion editors are a good way of getting free publicity and gaining a wider audience.  The trick is to make a small business appear large.  So, when you’re having a quiet day get onto all your suppliers looking for images and press releases and get the message   across that your store is  well worth a visit.
